London England, Sightseeing Day 1

No really, I went to London!

Friday, October 28th, 2011

I feel so weird that I’m posting about this months and months after it happened. A whole world away.

But I did go to London, and really it was all to see Take That.

Here’s my first grouping of photographic evidence that were mostly uploaded to my Facebook page since they were taken on my phone. A random smattering of photos throughout my entire week-long journey!

Nuit Blanche 2011

Monday, October 3rd, 2011

Yeah I don’t really update anymore do I? Well at least I don’t take a year to update or anything like that.  Nothing particularly new to report, other than the 6th installment of the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche in Toronto that I attended.  Every year has a different vibe and this year I felt like I didn’t nap enough, and I went out way too early.  I think it’s more fun when all the high school people have gone home for the night, rather than fighting (not literally) with them for space on overcrowded subway cars.

Photos were basically all Zone B and some Zone C but stayed within the same 4 or 6 block radius.  And there was possibly at least some alcohol that was consumed.

Anyways, here’s a bunch of photos for you all to look at!

Yeah, so I’m married now.

Me and my Cuddley-boo tied the knot on August 2, 2011.

Here’s a run-down of what happened:

  • 09:00 – Hair and makeup appointment
  • 13:00 – Pick up flowers
  • 15:00 – Show up at Markham Civic Centre
  • 15:15 – Say all the cute fuzzy words to get married
  • 15:25 – Photos
  • 16:00 – My house for snacks/drinks
  • 17:30 – Banquet hall
  • 18:00 – Tea Ceremony (a confused one at that!)
  • 18:30 – Dinner (Me and my new hubby sat at the kids table with our friends, haha)
  • 22:30 – Run away! (to go downtown for some partying)
  • 23:00 – Drake Hotel for drinks.
  • 01:30 – Retire to the crash pad for adult-themed private celebrations. And the pulling out what felt like 5,000 pins from my hair.
  • 16:00 (The next day) – Steam bath & hot stone massage!

And here’s the photos! (Same ones I uploaded to cuddleyboo’s face book if anyone is wondering)

The new adult-themed sippy-cups!

I’ll admit, it’s not the most thrilling thing in the world to drive nearly 1,200km within the span of 48 hours, but it’s definitely do-able and not that expensive in my Freddy.

Of course, it’s all worth it when hanging out in celebration with such awesome friends as Jason and Jana as we all participated in their hand-fasting ceremony.

I got to play assistant-photographer :)

The traveling was fun, reminded me of “old times” and it was great to see lots of friends sharing a happy moment.

I dropped off my main memory card with “head photographer guy” and have no photos to share at this moment… so I leave you with my preferred vessel to carry alcohol in while partying it up in a hotel that only offers too-small plastic drink cups.  Also, it appears my limit of alcohol intake before standing becomes quite the challenge is 2.5 pots.

My cuddley boo ended up getting a sleepy girlfriend visiting yesterday evening after the drive back, before I drove home for the night.

Now to un-pack, re-pack, and fly fly away!
