So two things happened on Tuesday.
1. I bought new shoes. After the Bodycombat class I decided that I couldn’t continue in the shoes I was wearing. Lesson learned. Don’t buy shoes a size too big just because the store doesn’t currently have them in your size. It’s Walmart, they’ll have your size next week. I ended up buying from Winners, Airwalks all black with red accent which perfectly match the red/black/white skull laces I bought last December.
The laces were too short though with the standard criss-cross pattern. Football boy (aka He who got hit by a car)… actually I want to rename him Sporty Spice. I wonder if he’d mind. Hmm… I digress. He recommended a straight lace, but I don’t like those. Got me thinking, and found a “bow tie” lace pattern that gives more length. And it’s pretty awesome, since these are really wide/flat laces anyways.
Shoes that fit instead of being too big… awesome. Driving feels a bit weird though because these shoes are super new. Hopefully I’m not revving too much or burning my clutch because I can’t feel the pedals yet!
2. I bought flip flops. Also after the BodyCombat class, I went to shower, barefoot, like I have been for years and years, and coming back to my locket I stepped on something, and was bleeding. Not a lot, but enough of a concern to actually consider (and purchase) footwear for the gym shower room. Old Navy’s always been known for cheap flip flops. They had a MASSIVE array of patterns (not just solid colours like I imagined, I guess “tis the season”) in the women’s section, but none would fit me. Off to the men’s section, not nearly the quantity or selection available. I ended up with a brown camo pair, and a gray/white skulls pair.
Blarg though, got them home, tried to get used to them… apparently the in-between-my-toes where the thong bit hits… is sensitive, because these things hurt. Granted I’ve not worn flip flops in YEARS. But yeah, these hurt. I can see now why these only cost $3.00 per pair (if bought in two’s, $6.00 per pair if bought as singles?!?) while the nicer looking ones with cotton thong parts were more like $15.00 per pair.
Why am I blogging about my shopping exploits? And… SHOES for pete’s sake? I’ve gotten… really boring it seems.
Oh, and my camera stuff came in the mail too.
Each 4gb memory card is listed as 1.1k jpegs in my Nikon D70s. That’s a lot of snapping!
The UV filter fit which is awesometastic.
And the little cloth pouch thing is super cute. And useful, I wiped off my lens and the filter before putting it on so I wouldn’t have trapped dust/particles.
