Alright, no time to actually write a blog entry because… it’s past midnight and I think I turned into a pumpkin about 12 minutes ago. But WHATEVER. This is too exciting to not post about absolutely immediately. (One of those times where yes, I wish I had a smart phone so I could have been twittering away as it was happening)
I was out tonight on a date. A first date, to be exact. To the shooting range.
Scary as all hell. I’d never shot a gun before (that wasn’t filled with water, or paint) But pretty awesome.
Hopefully the photos are in the correct order. If they are… you should see each row is me, my date, and then my target that I got to take home.
- Row 1 – *Gun 1: Ruger 10/22, firing .22lr
(14/15(?) of 25 rounds were on target)
- Row 2 – *Gun 2: Ruger GP-100 firing .38 special
(5 of 6 rounds were on target)
- Row 3 – *Gun 3: Glock 34 firing 9mm
(25 of 25 rounds were on target(!!!) )
(if you’re reading this immediately after posting… I might be trying to tweak the photo order so it’s actually correct.)
Verdict? This is a pretty fun activity, and I definitely want to go again, and possibly bring a whole bunch of my friends. Can be a bit pricey, but really worth it. And very much a whole new level of respect for people who handle firearms on a regular basis, this stuff is *not* easy!
