The blue bricks have candy!

Monday, May 4th, 2009

There were a few different dreams all mixed together and unfortunately now I can’t REALLY remember all of it.

I was buildling some sort of a wall using some multi-coloured bricks, felt like it was forced/unpaid labour since everyone was very unhappy.  At some point someone showed me that the blue bricks could come apart if you twisted at it the right way, and the inside of these blue bricks contained chocolate that all the builders started eating to keep our spirits & energy up.

Possibly connected to that… we were all on some sort of large boat, and was running around trying to find a good hiding space.

Bah.  I know it was more interesting than that but that’s all I’ve got!

Stuff at the Ex’s house

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Yet another dream from a few nights back.  I’m beginning to think that now I’m writting/blogging these dreams, they stay with me longer just so I can remember them.

Anyways, this one started with me needing to go to my ex’s house to pick up my things after he broke up with me.  (IRL I haven’t actually gone up to grab what’s mine yet, and have also made no effort in doing so.)  However, his house layout is vastly different from what it is IRL, and instead kind of resembles the house I lived in with the pool.

For some reason, I had a bunch of DVD’s that he had sold off for me, and was giving me the money for them.  There was some discussion as to how much money I was getting out of this deal, and where the money was because it was not in his posession.  His father was holding onto it for some reason.  I had to go to his dad to ask for that money, and they had spent it on nail care stuff (manicure kits etc.) for me instead so I ended up with this bag from the drugstore.

My ex also had (in my dream) rearranged his room so that his critters (a leopard geko and camellion) were extremely high up on this desk hutch.  The Leopard geko also now had a male mate.  At one point the female had climbed out of the cage but we tried to catch her by closing the trap door, and she hung from her tail, which finally gave way and she dropped to the ground (almost 6 feet by my calculations now IRL) with half her tail still stuck in the cage.

And for some reason, his sister whom I dispise was there, and was saying something to me that I don’t remember, before heading into the shower.  Turned on some radio in the shower and began horribly rapping to the song.

I do not believe these events happened in my dream in order.  But there you go!

Bicycles and bands

Monday, April 20th, 2009

A short dream I had a while ago, but is still memorable enough for me to write about some weeks later.

I’m hanging out with my bike people, from Bisegal (that I now do web-hosting for incedently in real life) and for some reason we’re getting into the/my car to go to a band practice.  None of us are IN the band, but we’ve all been invited so we’re going.  We drive… up the block.  I drop them off  at the doors and head out in search for street parking.  (Which I found funny when I woke up, because we could have more than easily left the car and walked!)  I parallel parked and wandered over.

We’re at this bank of rehearsal studios not unlike Cherry Beach (where I went to see SNAK in real life) except instead of doors, they all had very heavy curtains.  This either worked, or no one was playing, because the hallway leading to all these rehearsal rooms was dead quiet.

Figured out which room I was supposed to meet up with the people from Bisegal, and I end up walking into what did not look like a rehearsal studio.  Not a big empty room with only performance equipment anyways.  I walked into more of a recording studio, lots of monitors, mixing boards with nobs and a big table in the middle for no reason than to take up space, in my opinion.  All the members of the band (as I last recognized them) were there.  The band was The Dropjoys by the way.  So they’re starting to play and rehearse and record, and the Bisegal people and I were just kind of listening and taking it all in.

I guess the only thing that makes sense in all of this, is that I basically met/became a fan of The DropJoys through Bisegal.  They used to rehearse down the hall from where Bisegal is located.  One day after grabbing my bike for a ride, they were rehearsing, I really liked their music, too nervous to knock and say hi, I slipped a note under the door with my e-mail address and they wrote back.  They’re cool. :-)

Airport runs and work wardrobes

Monday, April 13th, 2009

This is a dream I had recently.  Not sure what to make of it.

From what I can piece together, I was going to my friend Matt’s house for some reason.  I drove my car there, and parked in his apartment building’s visitor parking lot.  It was generally wintery because I remember worrying about slipping and sliding on the ice.   I believe there was some sort of schooling or education going on, I remember being worried about studying for a test.

I was walking down a hall at one point and met up with two sisters whom I don’t know/recognize.  One was trying to be a wardrobe consultant for another, and using bug bulky sweaters to mask her sister’s lower half.  It looked stupid but they thought it worked.  Just tucking the neck/shoulders of the sweater into the pants and let it hang down sort of like a skirt.  (The funny part was she used two sweaters, one for the back (which made sense) and one for the front which brought together a feeling of “HUH?!?)

I ended up asking this lady (the one giving the advice) if I could borrow her expertise to go clothes shopping for work.  And went into explaination about how my work wardrobe consists of five tops, and three pairs of pants that get rotated (with Friday being a casual day) and I feel like after six months of working I’m getting tired of wearing the same 5 outfits. (All of this being 100% true in real life.)  She had agreed.

At some point I went back to Matt’s apartment, but had driven a second car, parked in his driveway.  Suddenly realizing he didn’t live in an apartment building, but something like a 3 unit row of townhouses, him being in the unit on the far left.  I needed to pick up my mother at the airport, and was trying to figure out how to ask him to drive my other car back to my house.  It ended up with me giving him the keys to one of the cars plus the directions to my house and hoping he would bring my car as I was leaving for the airport.

Another weekly review

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

These weekly reviews are getting more common as I’m finding less and less time to sit down and blog (but at the same time not really reducing the amount of time being sat in front of a computer.)

So Monday I went to work, everything’s fine in that regard.  Me and my new “room-mate” (co-worker) are working well together, and my former co-worker who’s now on afternoons isn’t doing too badly himself.  The week generally went quickly with only a few hicups along the way, like me finding out that while our largest folder can fit a 28 x 40 sheet of paper… it won’t let me put through an 11 x 34 sheet because it needs to go in the opposite direction.

Drumming was Monday as well, and we had the instructor bring in an actual drum-kit.  That was fun, even though it’s still a bit weird sitting behind a kit while other people are watching.  I do really love drumming but I fear it may take forever to actually learn anything.

Body flow was also Monday & I was happy for it as I really felt good about that class.

Tuesday after work I raced to the gym for the Body Combat class.  It was fun, the regular Tuesday instructor is back which is exciting and we’re mixing up routines now so it’s not always the same one.  While it’s nice to know what all the moves are, it’s also nice to challenge the body by changing it up once in a while.  The sauna was great afterwards :)

Thursday was Unicycle club and I was actually able to make it down which was GREAT.  A lot of people I haven’t seen in a long time, that I truly missed.  Weird and ackward was finding out some personal drama going on within one of the families.  And while I sort of picked up on something not being right, I really wasn’t expecting anything that I ended up hearing.  But I do hope they’re all doing alright and in the end will figure out what’s going on.

Overall, I’m trying out micro-blogging via twitter.  And I do really enjoy that Twitter is able to talk to my blog so the updates come here too.  But I disliked how it was taking over the front page of my blogs so I tried the daily updates.  I’ve seen the weekly update work, so I may give up the daily ones and just take a weekly tip on everything.  It might work well this way.  So check out my facebook status or my twitter webpage to see updates as they come, but for a weekly synopsis, check out my blog I suppose!
