Dreaming of Dallas… Part 4 of 4

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I started worrying about how I was supposed to pack all my things back into my lugage for the flight home.  Because for some reason, not only did I have my desktop computer with me, I also had a small TV and VCR.  And a lot more clothes than seemed necessary.  And I seemed to have travelled down with two carry-on back-packs.  While trying to figure this out, I had started expressing to random people, basically anyone who would listen, that I would like to compress my life so it would fit in one car.  And get rid of everything I don’t need.  Around this point I basically started waking up to birds singing and the garbage truck making very frequent stops by my open window. (Somehow my garbage wasn’t picked up yet though.)

Dreaming of Dallas… Part 3 of 4

We were staying in someone’s house, and I had my car with me and it was parked in a lot down the street.  So somehow I had gotten my own car (My old Mazda3 to be exact) to Dallas, and we were flying back with it in cargo as well.  This house (that I’ve never seen before IRL) was pretty ghetto, and this random dude just sort of showed up.  He knocked, and asked if we could watch some of his things that he unloaded onto the porch, because he was going to a book sale, and he had a little car he was walking back towards, but the items left were pretty big.  Like a full sized bedroom mirror, a couch, and various other furnature items I didn’t understand how they came from his car.

Dreaming of Dallas… Part 2 of 4

While in Texas, we went to some warehouse party like thing (not unlike the suscon, but it was a different looking space) that was basically filled with computer tech people, many of which who seemed to be working, like this space somehow employed them.  I got paired up with a girl because my desktop computer was having problems, and while looking we decided that some ports were not working properly, and the power wasn’t firing and other random things.  She gave me a list of all the things in the computer that needed replacing, and my comment was it’d be easier to buy a new desktop computer.

Dreaming of Dallas… Part 1 of 4

(I seemingly have not much else to write about, so my most current dream from May 20-21st will take up four diary entries to make up for it! Oh the suspense!)

For some reason, a few Toronto people went BACK to Dallas Texas because my friends Jason & Jana were there on their epic road trip. And the idea was that they would be getting on a plane and flying back to Toronto, and having their car shipped as well. (Why, I don’t know, that makes no sense) And that we would fly down to Dallas, stay one night at the hotel (same one we stayed at during the Suscon IRL) and fly from DFW back to YYZ… and have the car shipped up at the same time.

Luggage round trips, house visitors and potential break ins?

Alright, the first part I’m remembering now has to do with driving to different people’s houses, but it seems like there was some sort of a snow-storm, and instead of driving in a regular (enclosed) car I was driving up and down the street on what I can best describe as go-karts (low to the ground, open tops, no seat-belts) but they looked like we were driving little snow-drifts.  I remember even commenting to someone “It looks like I’m driving a pile of snow!”  At the same time… I remember the streets were bare, like a warm summer night, so I don’t know why I was driving around in a pile of snow.

There’s a part of the dream where it sounded like we were going to have an overnight-staying visitor.  Who was somehow going to be sharing my bathroom (but thankfully not my bedroom) and in that process, my mom had moved my dirty clothes hamper from the bathroom (that is normally mine exclusively) into my bedroom with a big towel over it, to kind of disguise it.

Outside of the staying at my house visitor, there was also a kerfuffel regarding dropping someone off or picking them up at the airport.  This one was confusing.  We were organizing how to drop person1 at the airport for an overseas trip.  Then somehow later on to drop off person2 at the airport, to pick up their luggage.  Because somehow, person1 bought a round-trip ticket that returned immediately from over-seas, just for a suitcase that was required to get picked up hours later.

Some time in the process of dropping off person1 or person2, and picking up the suitcase that was returned my family and I felt like someone had broken into our house, because there were a number of “shady characters” standing around outside.  I ran around the house checking doors and windows to see if anything was broken and if anything was missing.  Noticed the front door was unlocked but nothing really wrong.

And then I think I woke up.
