Dreaming of Dallas… Part 4 of 4

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

I started worrying about how I was supposed to pack all my things back into my lugage for the flight home.  Because for some reason, not only did I have my desktop computer with me, I also had a small TV and VCR.  And a lot more clothes than seemed necessary.  And I seemed to have travelled down with two carry-on back-packs.  While trying to figure this out, I had started expressing to random people, basically anyone who would listen, that I would like to compress my life so it would fit in one car.  And get rid of everything I don’t need.  Around this point I basically started waking up to birds singing and the garbage truck making very frequent stops by my open window. (Somehow my garbage wasn’t picked up yet though.)

Dreaming of Dallas… Part 3 of 4

Monday, May 25th, 2009

We were staying in someone’s house, and I had my car with me and it was parked in a lot down the street.  So somehow I had gotten my own car (My old Mazda3 to be exact) to Dallas, and we were flying back with it in cargo as well.  This house (that I’ve never seen before IRL) was pretty ghetto, and this random dude just sort of showed up.  He knocked, and asked if we could watch some of his things that he unloaded onto the porch, because he was going to a book sale, and he had a little car he was walking back towards, but the items left were pretty big.  Like a full sized bedroom mirror, a couch, and various other furnature items I didn’t understand how they came from his car.

I'm Chinese and all…

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Alright, for serious. I'm Chinese. I grew up with roasted ducks and soy chickens with broken necks and full roasted pigs hanging from BBQ take-out place windows… but this just looked oddly freaky to me. Maybe because the BBQ pork at the Chinese places still looked like (round, barrel-chested) pigs, and not door mats or throw-rugs that go in front of a fireplace…

Either way, it was an awesome good time with people I both <3 and care about loads, people I have seen on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, along with people I see once a year if lucky (and more often now hitting three and four years per visit) and people I've never met before, and could possibly never meet again.

And I proved I can still unicycle in a straight line while fully drunk out of my mind. Although I've realized I need a new drink of choice. Vodka coolers have WAY too much sugar.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this one!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

I just got un-invited to a jack & jill event by the pending groom, because I'm “an ex” since me & him dated… in high school… nine years ago.

For one thing I find it disturbing high school was eight years ago. ZOMG. And like… not that I was really expecting to go anyways (since I haven't spoken to anyone from that “crew” for at least five years) but I still definitely feel weirded out by it.

Like OMG. We dated. For three weeks. I asked him out to prom, (then his name after he said yes) we held hands in the hallway, kissed in a parking lot, he dumped me, we went to prom.

It's funny that he cares so much to personally un-invite me minutes after I clicked “maybe” (his sister set up the FB event & sent out the invites probably)
