I never got to say this while suspending in Dallas…

Jesus suffering F***!

I got my bank statement, and my one (of two) credit card statements in the mail today. Let me know if you see the same problem I see.

Bank balance: 2063.42
AMEX balance: 2076.75

Alright, it's not really AS bad as I make it out to be. I have my tax return cheque in my wallet right now waiting to get deposited as well as another pay cheque (possibly two) before the AMEX is actually due.

I'm just mostly in a slight bit of shock that my CC balance is so high. It normally doesn't top $500 ever since I stopped the 100km commute. (I even received a letter three days ago saying they've increased my limit to $5,500. Crazy stuff.)

I guess this means no beer for a while I suppose. Which is unfortunate, because it's patio season again and I've found a bunch of new people who enjoy the sport!… And I have a show to go to this Saturday. Heh. AFTER the show no more beer!… except for at the station the Sunday after… and the show Wednesday night.

GODD***IT!

I just found out that… I totally had enough air miles for a free rental car while in Dallas.

Oh well I suppose. Only 2,555 more miles until I can get a round-trip ticket from YYZ to DFW for next year. That's only $25,500 dollars at the gas pump if I use my Air miles credit card AND rewards card… anyone need a fill-up? :P

Or I guess I could just save it for next year's car rental. That sounds much more logical.

Alright. So my words are more powerful than I realized, and moved faster than I could have truthfully imagined. I'm sure a part of the problem with the whole shirt fiasco is that I felt helpless (since I didn't personally place my own order) and the only logical action I could think to take was to shout from my roof-top.

And I know it's just a shirt, and it's just 25 dollars. And neither is worth ending the world over. And while my previous post did not at all convey this next thought properly… I still trusted 100% that I would receive my shirt… eventually.

In closing, Rachel, I don't hate you, please don't ever think that!

(and I can’t spell-check, since my previous post title said “Pissed of” instead of “Pissed off” for a good hour before I noticed it!)

Pissed off at BMEshop. That’s an epic fail if I ever saw one.

Fucking hell. I’m pissed off and there’s not a whole lot I can do about it. I’m pissed off at BMEshop, and I feel like I’ve been ripped off. Myself, along with a bunch of other people in the Toronto area ordered event shirts for the Dallas suscon through our honourary Canadian at the beginning of April. I’m assuming the order was placed April 6th because that’s when he confirmed with us how much we each owed him for our respective shirts. April 6th, 2009.The goal was to have the shirts shipped to his Ohio address to save on shipping fees and any customs/duties that might arise from crossing the border, and we would have our shirts at the event. Being held on April 17th, 2009.

From April 6th to April 17th is 7 business (Monday to Friday) days. (not counting Good Friday which is a Stat Holiday) Considering the States also allows shipping on Saturday, that might be considered 9 business days.

Unfortunately, when April 17th rolled around, Jason had no shirts for us who all flew down from the great white north. Because no shirts were shipped. Because seemingly extremely few shirts were printed. And of an event that had over 160 people in attendance, I saw a grand total of two shirts that were event based, when I’m pretty sure more than two people ordered them.

So my opinion? Epic fail on BMEShop’s part. But since I didn’t place my own order I can’t really do anything about it. If it were up to me? I would have called in a charge-back on my credit card because my goods were not delivered in a timely manor. And as a business? That isn’t acceptable.

For a company that was debating how long, between one and three business days for turnaround on standard orders (like t-shirts) was acceptable and forgivable… I am hereby proclaiming that 15 days (AND COUNTING) is NOT acceptable, NOR forgivable.

Which sucks because it’s well known & documented that I used to really like and really support BMEshop, owning a crapton of past BME shirt designs. But other than the event shirt, I haven’t purchased anything from there in at least a year. And after this experience, I’ll probably never purchase anything from there again.

Hmm, I guess it’s true. Pissed off customers always talk trash while happy customers rarely say a thing.
