Product Review: Punkmedics Vegan Leave In Conditioner
I enjoy writing about things that I like, and I have been finding it difficult to find things to write about. So instead of doing a group product review on PunkMedics‘ 5 product Vegan sample pack of hair & body products, I’m going to review each product individually.
First product up for review: Vegan Leave in Conditioner
Considering the majority of commercial hair care products are heavily perfumed/scented, it was pretty weird & shocking at first that the Vegan Leave in Conditioner is un-scented. But I got used to it, and by now definitely prefer this to the other products I was using in the past.
The texture of the conditioner was also different, if you’ll pardon my following description, it’s just as thick (not drippy,) but isn’t as heavy (not greasy.) This is great for me because after my hair is dry, I don’t have a greasy/residue type feeling, which allows me to not shampoo my head every night if I don’t really need to.
I’ve been experimenting with how much I use as well. I’ve found as long as I have enough to coat my hair, it doesn’t matter if I go overboard, sinc there’s no greasy/residue type feeling afterwards. Perfect for when I’m in a rush and squeeze the bottle too hard.
In short, I like! When I run out I’ll grab a big bottle for at-home, and the little bottle for my gym bag.
General background on my hair: It’s long, considered super-thick, gets trimmed on average bi-annually, and the “bangs” get bleached & dyed blue/purple annually. I shampoo at most 3 times a week, only use hair elastics for “hold” & mostly avoid blow-dryers. (I only really use one at the gym because leaving with towel-dried hair in -27°C weather is kind of silly!)
Previous products used: Leave-in Conditioner, De-frizz Hair Serum (both leave a residue with a greasy feeling, forcing me to shampoo my hair again within 8-12 hours)
