Week Two Day Two

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Alright, push ups this week is severely mis-firing.  It’s Saturday and I just did week two’s push-ups.

I really want to keep this schedule so it looks like tomorrow is week two day three, because Monday will be week three day one!

Today’s push-ups consisted of: 10-12-9-9-17

Week Two Day One

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

I totally ended up somehow slacking this week so I’m not sure how the schedule is going to work.  Hopefully it still works out okay considering today is Wednesday and I’m doing Day one and not Day two.

Anyways, today is as follows:

9-11-8-8-20

I’m hoping Wednesday/Thursday/Friday for this week since I’m so far behind.

Week One Day Three

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Alright I forgot to talk about this but my weekend has been a lot of unorganized mess.

I ended up doing Day three Saturday morning around 2am because I couldn’t sleep.

The last of my week one routine looked like this: 8-10-7-7-20

While I feel sort of silly only doing this routine once (as with all of them) I do definitely feel a noticable difference in my modified push-ups.  My chest muscles are a little bit sore but that’s somewhat expected.

I’m eagerly waiting for week two now! Starts tomorrow!!

I think I just might be a little manic.

From what all the crazies tell me, being manic is usually a sign of buying way too much stuff. And for the past couple of days (weeks) I've been on a pretty intense giving-in to the “inner computer geek” of me. First my video input card dealie & USB hub, my netbook (and subsequent laptop bag!) and also I just picked up 2gb of RAM for my desktop.

It's a good thing that I got my pay stub at work yesterday (Thursday) since that means I have the money in my account as of 6 minutes ago!

P.S. I know I promised someone I was going to name my netbook after Chris, since it's unlikely I'll have a first-born anytime soon, but I've now decided I want to name my netbook “The Toilet” so my MSN name is “lilfunky1 – on the toilet”… and I'm not sure how Chris is going to handle me saying he's a toilet. Haha.

SUCCESS!

I called the computer store today while I was on my lunch, around 12 o’clock.

Dude answered the phone, told me my netbook was in.

I could go in at any time, “right now if you want”  but I didn’t, because I was the only one in the office (even though I was on my lunch) and also I had no money with me, my plan being I would go home, change, go to the bank, get money then buy the netbook.

Which is what I did when I realized it was well past 5pm when I looked up at the clock (it was a really busy day)

So I got home, made some food, grabbed cash, went over.  Excitement.

$600 later (not including the $20 deposit) I was walking out of the store with the smallest computer box I’d ever had to carry.  It was cute and adorable.

Got home, opened the box.  WTF.  The battery isn’t installed on the thing?  Whatever, pop in the battery, plug in the adaptors, turn it on, install English Windows XP.  Can’t get online.  It has a wireless card.  I have a wireless router.  WTF?

Brandon helped me by telling me I neede to turn the wireless card on (I didn’t know they had on/off switches) but I finally figured out how to actually do it.  Got online.  Wow… my wireless router isn’t secure.  I somehow always knew that but I didn’t realize it was THAT easy finding it.  Well then! That will soon be fixed!

Downloading downloading.  Got iTunes, Firefox, Google Chrome, Windows Live Messenger – which was uninstalled as it was too new for the recently found patch to remove advertisements.  Found an older version of Windows Live to install, patch worked. (It’s a stumpy little screen, I need all the vertical space I can get!)

Finally, trying to transfer some music over to the netbook… with 1gb memory cards.  This isn’t working.

Figured out how to use the “shared folder” on my desktop, and that my laptop can see it.  Perfect!  4gb of music in minutes… rather than… many more minutes!

This excites me greatly.  I can’t wait to take it around town just to have a laptop like everyone else.
