I want the coughing to stop.

I got to submit pictures tonight too. Even though they have nothing to do with the aforementioned events. Seeing as how I was in bed with a brain quite literally about to explode while y'all went and had fun without me. So HA!

And for heavens sake, stay away!

Waking up to a newly sore throat and still a brain that feels like it's getting poked at with a salad fork. Srsly? It's been a week now. I demand satisfaction!

Ah.  So, I had Saturday, and Sunday off, as per usual since I work a workweek of Monday to Friday.  Then because Tuesday was Canada Day, I decided to take the Monday off as well to give myself a four day weekend.

My boss thinks I’m out of town, I said I was going to a week-long event in Michigan, even though it wasn’t true.  Why should it matter where I go? I’ve been working for almost 7 months at this point and I have much vacation time saved up that I have every right to spend.  Thus, I spend it.

It’s just kind of sad that my vacation gets taken so seriously.  Like the world will end when I go on vacation.  It sucks.  I realize this is a small company, and that it’s difficult to replace people if they should have an emergency leave or when they go on vacation.  But there should be some sort of contingency plan.

And that contengency plan should not have to be the owner of the company going “I need you to teach your (lesser educated) coworker all the things that you do in your job.  Because I don’t want all the pressure and all the stress of handling your job when you go away on vacation.”

What this person seems to be telling me is, even though they make all the money from the job that me and my cohorts are doing, that they don’t want to put in any effort.  And while generally that’s fine and dandy considering it’s their money should the place sink… not wanting to even step up to the plate when someone takes time off is… stupidity.

Crazy.

Outrageous.

That I have a 1/2 tank of gas still in my car after a full week Hey, at $1.35/litre I can't complain about this feat! I normally fill up every 3 days!
