What the??
This doesn’t make any sense.
The company that handles our computer tech support said that my Office 2000 is too old and the reason I’m receiving errors in 2008 is because there are new security features that are being sent left right and centre that my 8 year old software doesn’t understand.
And the majority of these errors are happening in Outlook.
So the plan is that I should upgrade my second grader (i.e. 8 year old) software to the newest fancy shmancy 2007 version. And we agree.
A package came in the mail from the company a few days ago, and when it is finally opened up, in it is a brand new, legal version of Microsoft Office.
Student.
Which comes with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, OneNotes, and something else.
But not Outlook.
Which was the entire reason that I was going to upgrade my Microsoft Office Suite.
So I had to call the guy, to let him know “I need the Microsoft Office Professional. Not Microsoft Office Student.” But I called and the guy wasn’t in. So I had to leave him a message that I called “regarding the installation of Microsoft Office.” I hope he doesn’t think I’m a complete dunce in the installation department.
I don’t want this guy to say “First thing you do is cut open the packaging.” when he calls.
