On Wednesday my coworker put in her two weeks notice.

She couldn’t stand the BS that goes on, and continues to go on, in the office. The stupidity astounds all of us currently in how much we run in circles to try to get from point A to point B. Seriously, To get from point A to point B, you go from point A to a.5 to A to a.5 to A to a.5 to a.75 to B. We calculated this based on how many e-mails it took to get from “I have an order from a customer” to “Please give this order to this person so they can enter it.” It took 5 separate e-mails.

I helped her vent by being a sympathetic ear. I knew she wasn’t going to stand for it much longer. It’s hardly a reason to stand at all. Her meeting with HR went surprisingly long, but thankfully no tears did shed. It was all very calm and subdued and very nice in the end.

Although this means one thing to me.

I’m now officially the longest serving CSR that’s strictly 100% customer service.

I haven’t been there a year yet. My full year is mid-November.

If you think I’m waiting around on a sinking ship to play out with the rest of the band, you’re crazy.

I’ve been looking for work since the whole “They’re gonna fire me” scare.

In fact, I had a job interview yesterday. I’m still hoping!

I seriously can’t even imagine how they’re going to replace my coworker. She’s just been such a rock to the rest of us CSR’s. I don’t know if I will be able to handle anything without her being there. She knows that if she see’s any good opportunities, to let me in on them too! We escape fast. I want a new job by the new year. After I’ve been paid out all of my stat holiday pay of course.

UPDATE:  Shit hit the fan this afternoon at around 3pm.  Coworker just couldn’t handle the stupidity, the politics and the lack of available services us CSR’s are able to provideour customers.  Coworker’s last day went from being 10 working days from now to… well, an hour ago.

I am now officially the longest running CSR at the company.  At exactly 11 months (well, 11 months tomorrow)

Crazy ass shit.

My work is so understaffed now they're asking for people to come in on Saturday. Only one problem, they won't pay overtime until you hit a full 88 hours in the particular pay period. Screw that.

Besides, I got myself signed up for some photography job in about 2 weeks time. All I need now is Phil's 7 megapixel webcam and I'm all set!

just to see if I can still function while consuming alcohol in the early morning hours.

That's what we're having at work right now.
My co-worker who'd been here for probably around 18 months, put in her two weeks notice last Wednesday. But walked out on Friday. Thus leaving me the highest ranking CSR in the company… at 11 months.

Also the Accounts Receivable person who'd been with the company more than 5 years was pissed off Thursday, called in sick Friday. And no longer works here Monday.

Ya… I'm quite actively looking for a new job, which sucks because we're already down two CSR's in my dept (Normally have 5, currently at 3) and the other two only started a month ago.

P.S. I think people need to shit or get off the pot.
