I
Thursday, September 27th, 2007you better know it.
you better know it.
So one of the new girls that’s in the CSR department is someone who knows some people I used to hang out with in high school. Small world. We act pretty much the same in regards to hogging the computer during our lunch and breaks, and it’s kind of nice to be able to talk to someone about random stuff like facebook and crazy ex’s this and that.
And I noticed she typed really fast so I decided to ask her what she got on her typing test that you have to do before entering the company. She got something like 98 words per minute which is pretty awesome in the standards of this office.
Apparently the crazy dumb-ass HR lady replied after she finished her test was “Only one person has ever gotten over 100 words per minute, but I can’t remember who that was.” I laughed at that. Duh. It was me. Considering she made such a big deal about it at the time I figured it was a memorable occasion. Especially since everyone else in the office still talks about it.
I ended up telling Mary the story about how when I got my 102 wpm score the first time, HR lady wouldn’t believe my score and made me re-type the 3 minute long test. And because I was humouring her, I typed slower on purpose but still managed 98wpm.
I found it amusing, but kind of like… hey. Why aren’t I good enough to be remembered?
And of course, she’s a fast typer, so they put her into doing the home depot orders, that really require no typing at all. (Where as the other girl who was also hired is doing normal orders where speedy typing is more of an asset. But still not by much)
Bwahaha. I went to my friend's band rehearsal last night for a bit because we had dinner and I kept bugging him about how I'm never invited. Then they wanted me behind the drumkit because I kept going on about how I own a pair of drumsticks.
Ya, I kind of refused until 2 of 3 band members left the space. Then absolutely REFUSED to play when one and then both came back in. Seriously, I didn't think I would be that embarrassed to play in front of these guys!

I’m oh so happy it’s now weekend!
I’m going to spend it with my boy.
We’re going to have so much fun!
Taking him away from his home and to my friends house where I get to play house-guest/house-sitter. Meaning I will be doing my friends laundry, dishes and general tidying up of his place while watching movies on his TV and general snuggling in the “Yay we’re away from everyone else” way.
Don’t know what to do for the day other than shop around and maybe look for cheap hair cuts. But Saturday night is my friends in Senor Kasio playing at the Reflex 80’s night. I’m going, hopefully can get Colin and a bunch of other friends to come with me. It’ll be bumpin’!
Not looking forward to a weekend full of fast food. We do that a lot because neither of us really ever cook. We should start.
