Printing dreams.
Friday, December 29th, 2006Another dream I had a while ago. I wrote these ones down.
I’m at school, university to be exact, where my computer and printer are stationed outside on a rooftop. I have preprinted copies of my resume in a large stack next to my workstation. They got dirty for some reason, probably being blown around then getting picked back up again. It looks like someone tried to trim the edges so they would look new and clean, but didn’t do a very good job.
Somehow at this same school, there was also a dance class, where there was a performance going on, and had children doing a routine for a demonstration. And a part of the demonstration included kids moving around on what seemed to be wheels (gliding without actually moving parts of their body) and standing while making dolls dance by holding the doll’s hips and moving them around.
Shopping Dreams
Thursday, December 28th, 2006Here’s a dream from a while back.
Driving home from work, stopped at a Canadian Tire at the end of the street I work at. Went through the normal entrance, connected through to the automotive department. Waited in line to purchase a lightbulb for my car. Woman before me bought a “mother and baby” bulb which was a different or special colour to notify people there was a mom/baby on board. Girl behind the counter pulled a bulb from a bucket of bulbs into a ziplock bag, and let her leave without paying for her purchase.
Someone mentioned to me I should just drive with my high beams and cover them with gels so they are not as bright anymore. I asked the girl for a front headlight, she again, grabbed a lightbulb out of the bucket, into a ziplock bag, and handed it to me and let me leave.
Brandon was outside the parking lot for some reason, he was in the area and wanted a ride home. He didn’t go into the store, but I wanted him to so I could get another free light bulb. But we ended up driving away instead.
yay I can beat one song in expert mode!!
Wednesday, December 27th, 2006oh my god my thumb hurts from playing guitar hero so much. but I can play sum41's fat lip on expert mode and finish the game. just barely but whatever. sadly it's the only game I can do that with since its the only song I actually KNOW. I made the joke that my hands are turning blue from playing so much, but it's really because I keep running my fingers through my hair and I didn't completely wash out all the purple/blue hair dye. but it does look convincing that my fingers have lost all circulation I think!
It’s alive!!!

Finally.
After months and months of procrastination, and general laziness, I’ve re-launched www.lilfunky1.com. I first had started it to be a fully personal site including things I had written, a blog (that this is a part of) and photos and everything under the sun. Until I got into this design kick that really wasn’t happening. I tried to re-do it, and it worked well for a while except a lot of the things I wanted to write about were just… non-existent. I was working a lot, I was hanging out with friends a lot, and I wasn’t sitting and writing because who wants to do that really?
I was also getting tired of the design, and it’s always fun to come up with new concepts for design, but implementing them, the way I was designing web pages (static HTML, no fancy stuff at all, easy for cross-platform internet viewing, horrible for wanting to change something new) caused me to want to REALLY pare down what I was doing.
I basically started at the same time to be uploading all of my photos. Except I was wanting to keep the original photoshop gallery created, to make life easier so everything looked the same, and at the same time wasn’t horrible. So I started uploading gallaries of things, somewhat organizing what they were like when uploaded, and generally just sending out the direct URL’s to whoever wanted them.
Caused me to realize I was just creating a really haphazard photo website, which I’m fine with. I noticed most of my pictures were of my friends in independent bands, and unicycles/unicycling so those became “big topics” then nothing else really fit so it went into an “uncategorized” section. I also list my blog, my “moblog” (mobile blog, which is ALSO completely static and generated through photoshop whenever I get the chance) and some other sites I’m a part of.
So I uploaded my one image map, and in that few seconds my domain name went from a redirect (to this blog) to a full website.
It’s not pretty. But it works.
Now I can start on the music review website (I already uploaded the blog software, and am waiting for the DNS servers to change over) that I was supposed to launch on the 5th of December, that got changed to New years, now has been pushed back to February 13th. Wish me luck!
