Music is always memorable
Saturday, August 5th, 2006I’m a self-admitted teenybopper. There’s songs I’ve listened to over and over and I could swear if I heard them again I’d know all the melodies and be able to sing all the words.
While snooping around my friend’s computer this afternoon I found his downloads folder, and sorted out all the MP3’s. We have very different tastes in music, he’s a guy, and therefore not really into the teenybopper stuff, more into the rock stuff. Anyways I think he had a girlfriend who he let loose on the downloading community.
Anyways, right now I’m listening to a mix of Backstreet Boys, Great Big Sea, ‘N Sync and various other music from my teen years that I haven’t heard since I was a teen. Even one of the unreleased BSB songs that was actually a B-side to a single, and even *THAT* I knew all the words to.
I feel the need to go to a place where 14 year old teenage girls congrigate and talk about the latest boyband, but the days of pure teenybopper-like pop are over. And for that I’m sad. But I’ll always have my MP3’s. Because I sold the CD’s years ago.
