Just how fucking cool am I?

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

Today I had to “Dress nicer” than normal, not dress up, per se, but dressier than normal all the same. I had to go do a press approval. At another plant. Because we outsourced the printing of an envelope to another company. So I got to drive the whole 20 minutes there, and back, and spend an hour standing around while they argued over the green, yellow’s and blues on an envelope. It was a nice way to make 30 bucks though. I’m going to have to ask about compensation on my driving out that far and back though.

And right now I have 75% of Strap On Tools in my basement as they’re rehearsing for their show tomorrow night. Well. 50% of the offical band, 25% is a recruitment, and the other 25% has just gone AWOL.

So tomorrow’s the show at Trin/Port at Dundas and Ossington, and I’m skipping unicycle club for it so everyone who reads this, which is…. me and like one other person who lives nowhere near me, should all come out! I’m going to be dressed up and dare I say I look cute in my outfit? Anyways. I’m going to go shower and hope no one walks into my bathroom while I’m naked.

And today's just another day.

Today I got to go on my first field trip at school. Press approval which included driving to the middle of nowhere. And back. *shrug* I'll probably ask about compensation with gas & my car. Maybe. I'll see just how b****y I'm feeling.

Anyways, tonight I'm playing host to a band. Because I rock like that, and they're performing tomorrow @ Trin/Port (Dundas & Ossington) with a bunch of other bands and I want them to sound good so my basment got turned into their rehersal spot. Meaning that tonight I'm going to be rockin' out my strangely tuned accoustic guitar upstairs in my room with the headphones blaring while they “jam” downstairs that will make the house shake. Apperently my basement is the optimal layout of recording studio. Only… it ain't my basement, and he has no building budget anyways. Heh.

Tonight's lottery is 40 million dollars. Chances of winning are apperently 1 in 14 million. Personally I would rather have my 1 in 1 chance of keeping my $2.00 then my 1 in 14 million to win $40 million.

And it’s been another week.

So this is a full week since my mom’s gone to Hong Kong for about a month. Things are as normal. I had my unicycling Defect DVD release party on Sunday, the day that was listed for its release even though it wasn’t true. The DVD was supposed to release on the Monday so it was a pre-release party, which ruled. I got about 10 of the regular Toronto Unicyclists out, as well as B. from Strap-On Tools who’s featured as the credits track on the video.

I made a big thing of rice the day she left, or the day after, and ate that over the course of the week. I made as many lunches as I had tupperware containers to bring with me to work. Wednesday I was told to stay til this thing was approved, which made me stay til like 8:30, and then dragged B. out to go grocery shopping where I spent about 20 minutes completely lost in an unfamiliar grocery store buying sammich foods. Then at his house promptly was smacked upside the head with a cold accompanied by allerigic reaction to his cats. Thursday I was told to stay late to just babysit a press operator so a job would be finished on time.

Then we ended up at this church to unicycle where I practiced mainly idling when I practiced at all. I rode for a bit, and tried to also practice some tight turns but the floor was kind of dusty and slippery and I was generally sick and tired. But I will be purchasing parts to build up most of a new unicycle soon. Which is exciting.

Today’s a surprise birthday party for D.B. and I gotta go figure out how to make my hair look just right. And I need to go to MEC to get pedals for my unicycle.

Somethings not right here.

I keep falling asleep at like 9 or 10pm every night, and waking up between 2am and 4am depending on how much I sleep. Now this sucks. Because I miss a lot of TV I want to watch, my entire night has disapeared, and I still need to go back to sleep to wake up at a decent time in the morning. I fall asleep watching TV in bed, and I’ll wake up still with the TV And all the lights on, my monitor going on the computer (thank god for screen savers) without my alarms set & the whole bit. I haven’t even showered or brushed my teeth yet.

This is seriously getting annoying because I want to go to bed at a normal time (Between 11 and midnight) and wake up at the time I’m supposed to ( between 6 and 7) so I just need to shift everything back a few hours and it’ll give me more time to do my stuff.

I dropped my mom off at the airport on Saturday so she’s off in Hong Kong right now. She actually called last night saying she would be going to China with my dad for a week so I don’t need to expect any calls or anything like that for the next week. I’m completely on my own until about the middle of November and it’s just how I like it.

I’ll update more with more stuff I’ve been doing. That’s enough for now though.

What could be worse than…

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

What could be worse than going to the bathroom at work and realizing that the jewelry in your genital piercing has gone missing?

That the only spare piece of jewelry you have on you is the labret stud with a spikey end, and you stuck it in there anyways.
