It is easier to ask for forgivness, then to ask for permisson.
Oh so true. Too funny as well. I'm taking an internet marketing course at school. And the group assignment/project is to take an internet company, and profile it (what they do, how they got there, where they're going). And I've worked with the same few people for the past 3 years. And whenever I made a suggestion about topics for projects, I always got shot down. Therefore, I'm sick of making suggestions, and just demanded this time. I've got one supporter who's laid back and never cares what happens, then my “arch nemisis” who always shoots down my ideas. Well Mister Arch-Nemisis was just informed that I'm picking the company we're profiling, and he can't do anything about it. I also e-mailed them both saying in effect: “I know you guys aren't interested in piercings and tattoos, but I don't care. I've had to do topics I'm not interested in for the past 3 years, it's your turn to not know what the topic is about!”
Skeptism or not, I've already started (and I'm almost done for fsck's sake) so we're doing my project. Oh, if you're wondering, I'm profiling BMEshop.com Which means I also sent a message to Ryan & Corrie telling them I'm revealing company secrets. Hahahahaha. I'm sure they won't mind
Either way, I don't mind. I get to surf BMEshop all day long, and write a 10 page report on why they're such an effective internet company. I mean, I do own probably half of what they sell.
