Big Pimpin'. Single-wheel Style.

Spent the majority of today freezing my toes off in an extremely cold unicycle workshop/warehouse. Admidst watching tires get changed, a weird and problematic problem get fixed, and discussion about a variety of companies, and being something of a photographer's assistant in holding a flash here, or there or the other place, I was able to pick out the exact parts for most perfect first new unicycle purchase. This purchase was made thanks to the support of myself, my parents, my other strange relatives who give me cash instead of presents, and my friends who have never celebrated my birthday in the 4 years I've known them (although they have yet to actually give me the money so until/if I receive it, it will be returned from the “fund” I am currently borrowing against). It's going to be my Chinese New Year unicycle. I'm just getting it early to break it in. And it's gonna be almost a muni!

Too much fun and excitement. I'm such a girl when it comes to buying things though, I'll have to admit. While I do care about the quality of parts I get, and what exactly is going into it, especally since I want to tool around town on it, go through slush and snow fairly easily, take it off-roading, and maybe even take it to Mexico, the main concern for me is the COLOUR! I wanted to be overly obnoxious since this is my first real unicycle. But no, I didn't want to be TOO obnoxious and get banana yellow. Someone else already did that! And although I'm not a huge fan of bright neon flourscent pink, if I were to get a souped up mountain unicycle, I think I might just do that. It's overly obnoxious. It's utterly stupid. IT RULES! I was also thinking that if I get trials unicycle, I should try and get it in something like sea-foam green. Hehehehehe. This rules.

Oh, this morning I had a dream about Matt, Dustin, unicycles, and a skateboard convention. I'll post what I wrote up in a notebook about it later.
